Kylian Mbappe will have to follow a strict Cristiano Ronaldo plan ahead of his move to Real Madrid.
Mbappe has agreed to join Real Madrid upon the expiry of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain this summer, marking the conclusion of a prolonged transfer saga. The official presentation for the French captain is scheduled for Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabeu. He will sign his contract at Real Madrid’s training ground, Valdebebas, in the presence of club president Florentino Perez, who will introduce him formally at Real Madrid City. Following this, Mbappe will be driven to the Bernabeu for a presentation in front of fans, featuring club legends like Zinedine Zidane, accompanied by live music and fireworks.
The Frenchman, PSG’s all-time leading goalscorer with 256 goals in 308 appearances, has signed a lucrative five-year contract worth €15 million (£12.8 million) annually after taxes. Mbappe’s arrival is arguably Real Madrid’s most significant signing since Cristiano Ronaldo joined the club in 2009. According to reports from Spanish outlet Diario AS, the club is already planning to shape the 25-year-old into a figure reminiscent of the Portuguese icon. The club’s fitness expert, Antonio Pintus, has devised a fitness regimen tailored in a Ronaldo-like fashion for the incoming star.
Ronaldo is renowned for maintaining exceptional physical fitness, still performing at a high level even at the age of 39, having won the Ballon d’Or five times.
Upon signing for Real Madrid, Mbappe expressed last month: “It’s a dream come true. I am so happy and proud to join the club of my dreams, Real Madrid. Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support. Hala Madrid!”
Endrick is also poised to join Madrid this summer, enhancing the club’s star-studded forward lineup alongside Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Endrick, Mbappe, and Jude Bellingham.
