Chelsea fans think they’ve identified a key transfer clue in the club’s latest announcement.
On Monday morning, Chelsea announced their new away kit for the 2024/25 season. The club, in collaboration with Nike, revealed the kit during their pre-season tour in the U.S. The away shirt features a “blue flame” theme with orange accents symbolizing the club’s passion and determination.
It also includes a woven fabric in ‘guava ice,’ a light shade of orange for a fresh, modern look. Fans can buy the new kit from the official store, with prices ranging from £64.99 to £124.99.
While promoting the kit on social media, fans noticed winger Noni Madueke featured in the promotional materials. This caught attention because last week, Madueke was rumored to be moving to Newcastle United.
Although he reportedly agreed on personal terms with the Magpies, the transfer is still pending agreement between the two clubs.
“Hmm Madueke linked with Newcastle but included in new kit pictures?,” a fan posted on social media. “This got me crying cuz Madueke and Mudryk don’t have long left at this club,” another person said. “Maybe Madueke is staying after all,” a third admirer said.
Scottish champions Celtic defeated Chelsea 4-1 over the weekend. “On the ball, the team was ten times better than we were against Wrexham because we can see the amount of chances we had in the first half and the second half,” Blues manager Enzo Maresca stated following the game.
Without a doubt, we need to do better off the ball. As you can see, it’s not always clear when to play something short and when to play something a little bit longer, but that’s all part of the process.
