After Sergi Roberto, Hansi Flick expels a new star from Barcelona this summer

Spanish press reports indicate that a new Barcelona first-team player is set to depart during the current summer transfer window. Barcelona is looking to offload some of its players to cut down on its salary expenses amid the severe financial crisis the club has been facing recently.

According to the Catalan newspaper Sport, Hansi Flick, after dismissing Barcelona captain Sergi Roberto, has decided to remove another player from Barcelona’s squad before the new season begins.

The newspaper further reported that Flick lacks confidence in Brazilian striker Vitor Roque’s abilities and believes that parting ways would benefit both sides. Barcelona is exerting significant pressure on Roque to agree to a transfer to Saudi Al Hilal this summer.

Additionally, Barcelona aims to use the funds from Roque’s sale to finance the acquisitions of Neco Williams and Dani Olmo. However, the player has yet to make a definitive decision about his future.

It is important to note that Barcelona is actively working to bolster its squad with several high-profile signings to fulfill the wishes of German coach Hansi Flick, who aims to revive the team’s former glory.
