Another important key player from Liverpool has made the decision to quit the club and he is now putting pressure on the club to sell him

PSV Eindhoven have shown interest in acquiring the young Dutch defender, who was on loan at Mainz last season. However, Liverpool’s €20 million asking price is a significant hurdle.

Voetbal International reports that Van den Berg is keen to move to PSV, the current Dutch Eredivisie champions, in order to secure regular first-team play.

He feels that his opportunities to break into Liverpool’s starting lineup next season are limited due to the presence of established players such as Virgil Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez, and Jarell Quansah.

With just two years remaining on his contract, Van den Berg believes Liverpool’s asking price is excessive.

His representatives are now pushing the club to lower the fee, highlighting his strong desire to leave.

Van den Berg has largely been loaned out during his time at Liverpool and has struggled to make a notable impact at Anfield.

A move to PSV offers him a chance for more regular playing time and further career growth.
