Saudi Arabia Club Al-Ittihad has pulled out from Signing Manchester City Star after the Club requested for £100 million, personal agreement reached with the player but deal has been Cancelled

So, what were the results? The final year of the 33-year-old playmaker’s contract at Etihad Stadium has begun. Despite interest from wealthy Saudi Pro League teams in acquiring the Belgium international, no contract extension has been finalized.

In a broader context, Al-Ittihad, which has previously acquired players like Fabinho, N’Golo Kante, and Karim Benzema, was keen on bringing in the celebrated De Bruyne. The six-time Premier League champion found their substantial offer appealing.

Did you know? Transfer analyst Rudy Galetti has reported that Al-Ittihad is withdrawing their interest due to Manchester City’s financial demands. While there are rumors that City is seeking over £50 million ($64 million), Al-Ittihad has only offered £25 million ($32 million).

What’s next? Al-Ittihad believes they have sufficient midfield options for now, even with Houssem Aouar already signed. If De Bruyne continues to edge closer to free agency, he might reappear on their radar in 2025.
