Fans all praise one Real Madrid star for being ‘above the rest’ in UEFA Super Cup, it’s not Kylian Mbappe

Fans hailed one Real Madrid star as ‘levels above’ everyone else on the pitch in the UEFA Super Cup final, but it wasn’t Kylian Mbappe.

On Wednesday evening, Real Madrid defeated Atalanta 2-0 in Warsaw, Poland, during the UEFA Super Cup. Federico Valverde scored the opening goal for Carlo Ancelotti’s team just before the 60-minute mark, converting Vinicius Jr.’s low cross into the net.

Nine minutes later, Real Madrid fans witnessed what they had eagerly anticipated: Kylian Mbappe’s first goal for the club. Making his competitive debut for the Spanish team, the French forward directed a shot into the top corner after receiving a pass from Jude Bellingham.

Although Bellingham didn’t score, Real Madrid fans were nonetheless impressed by his performance.

Although the 21-year-old didn’t perform at his best for England during Euro 2024, he was exceptional on Wednesday.

One fan wrote on X, “Jude Bellingham is by far and undoubtedly the best player on the pitch,” while another added, “Jude Bellingham has me on my feet, applauding.” A third fan commented, “People still debate how good Bellingham is,” and another remarked, “Bellingham was the best player today, but no one wants to admit it due to the real hatred.”

One fan made a bold statement, writing: “Jude Bellingham, I’m going to say it. This is one of the best, if not the best, individual performances by a midfielder I’ve seen this decade. Words can’t do it justice.”
