Open to the idea’ – Journo claims Liverpool are willing to sanction exit of ‘really special’ player

David Lynch has stated that Liverpool is prepared to allow one of their key players to leave this summer.

Arne Slot took over from Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool’s manager this summer but has not yet made any new signings. The team is scheduled to begin their 2024/25 Premier League season with an away match against Ipswich on Saturday.

Fabio Carvalho was the latest player to depart the club permanently after his transfer to Brentford on Monday. Journalist Lynch, in a conversation with @AnfieldAgenda, has now hinted that Luis Diaz might also be leaving Anfield.

Diaz scored twice on Saturday as Liverpool secured a 4-1 victory over Sevilla in a friendly at Anfield.

The Colombian winger is a fan favorite at Anfield due to his dynamic play on the left side. Despite his inconsistent performance last season, it would be surprising to see him leave the club.

A move might have made sense if Liverpool had signed several new attackers this summer, but given their current lack of depth compared to some league rivals, it seems unlikely.

Recently, there have been unexpected rumors linking our No.7 to a move to Manchester. However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that sources close to Manchester City deny any interest in the Colombian player.

We hope to see him stay at Liverpool for the upcoming season, but we’ll have to wait and see how things unfold.
