Flick gives the green light to Barcelona’s management to sell the team’s two players and finance the Williams deal

Hansi Flick is urging Barcelona to finalize the acquisition of Neco Williams. He wants to ensure they don’t overlook the Athletic Bilbao star, and now that Dani Olmo’s transfer is complete, the focus has shifted to the 22-year-old winger. This move is crucial as Barcelona lacks a player to complete their left-wing attack.

While the club has several alternatives, Williams is the top priority and most promising option at the moment. The contract terms have been agreed upon, and it’s anticipated that the final details will be settled soon.

However, the key element still pending is the payment of the €58 million release clause from his contract. To cover this, financial resources are needed, and “Hansi” hopes Joan Laporta and Deco can generate these funds by selling players like Rafinha Diaz.

They have already transferred Julian Araujo to Bournemouth and will also gain a substantial amount from reserving 20% of any future sale for Jean-Clair Todibo, who is moving to West Ham United. However, this is still insufficient. The Brazilian international, who was a key player for Xavi Hernandez, now finds himself without a role under Hansi Flick at Camp Nou.

According to information from the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Flick wants him to leave as soon as possible, and he will be the main loser from Williams’ signing, so Flick asked Joan Laporta to find a buyer for the 27-year-old star, who they hope will bring in a lot of money.

He did not provide any hopeful updates, and Barcelona’s investment in signing him has proven unsuccessful. The player has worn out everyone’s patience and will need to leave after ongoing frustrations during the pre-season. Once Barcelona finalizes the major Rafinha and Vitor Roque deals, which are expected to bring over €80 million into the club, Laporta and Deco could proceed with signing Nico immediately.

The newspaper added: There is another player who also has a foot and a half outside Barcelona, which is Vitor Roque, who was a personal bet for Deco, but his condition was more painful, because he did not show his level at any time.
