As of today, Barcelona can only register 16 players in La Liga due to wage bill constraints, necessitating the departure of several players. However, none are willing to leave. Sergi Roberto commented in his farewell this morning, “You cannot leave Barcelona; they have to fire you.”

Barcelona has attempted to put Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, Lewandowski, and Gundogan on the market, but none are willing to move. According to Sport newspaper, Barcelona also tried to transfer Rafinha, who received a 60 million euro offer from Saudi Arabia, but he declined to leave. However, the situation could change as Laporta now has a more significant offer for Rafinha on the table.

The newspaper also reported that Manchester United, following Varane’s departure, plans to place Anthony and Jadon Sancho on the market while targeting Rafinha, who previously made a strong impression in the English Premier League with Leeds. United aims to bolster its attack with Rafinha to create a potent partnership with Rashford.

Despite Rafinha’s expressed desire to stay at Barcelona, his excellent relationship with Deco—his former agent who facilitated his move to Barcelona—could potentially make it easier for him to cooperate on a transfer if necessary.
