Shock detail about Leny Yoro’s Man Utd medical emerges and it speaks volumes about the club

A shock detail about Leny Yoro’s Manchester United medical has emerged in wake of his crushing injury blow.

Manchester United overcame interest from Real Madrid to secure Yoro’s signing this summer, paying £58.9 million. He quickly made an impact, shining in his debut with a standout performance against Rangers in a pre-season match.

The 18-year-old sustained a foot injury during the match against Arsenal in the United States, which will keep him out for around three months.

Manchester United might not have been completely caught off guard by this, as medical scans had indicated possible metatarsal problems when he signed with the club. The Athletic reports that despite these concerns, the club’s executives chose to move forward with the transfer, confident that Yoro will be a pivotal player for the Red Devils over the next decade and recognizing a rare opportunity to secure a top young talent from Europe.

Manchester United managed Yoro cautiously, allowing him to participate in only 50 percent of their training sessions. Despite this, he incurred an injury during his second game for the club.

The center-back remained with the team until the end of the trip and underwent surgery upon returning to England. Manchester United had not anticipated that he would be playing every week in the Premier League from the outset, so he won’t be rushed back into action.

Ten Hag was impressed by Yoro’s mentality and commended the way the player handled his setback.

He highlighted that Yoro’s attitude is one of the reasons for signing him. “He’s very mature, has a great personality, and is dealing with the setback positively while looking forward. He’s already started his rehab.”

He further commented, “There’s a strong drive in him. For his age, he’s incredibly mature and balanced, and he remains focused. He knows his goals and where he wants to go. I’m confident he’ll return quickly to support the team and contribute to winning games and trophies.

“Both heart and intellect are crucial in football.”

“Both qualities are essential for building a team. While different skill sets are needed, personality, character, and mentality are crucial for creating a winning team.”
