Hansi Flick adds 3 new players to Barcelona in one fell swoop after Dani Olmo

Currently, Barcelona has only confirmed the arrival of Dani Olmo. While Joan Laporta and Deco are working on other significant additions, such as the potential returns of Joao Cancelo and Nico Williams, no deals are finalized yet. As it stands, the only new player Hans-Dieter Flick will have for this season is Olmo, who was signed from RB Leipzig for a fixed €55 million plus €7 million in variables.

However, Flick will also benefit from the promotion of three players who were not part of the first team last season. Pau Víctor, a standout performer in pre-season, has impressed with his goal-scoring ability and will compete with Robert Lewandowski for a place in the squad. Barcelona paid Girona €3 million for Víctor, who topped the Primera RFEF scoring charts with 20 goals. Despite initial uncertainty about whether he would stay with the B team or go out on loan, his recent performances in friendlies against Manchester City and Real Madrid have earned him a spot in the first team. Flick may consider this move as a reason to potentially move Raphinha Dias or Ferran Torres out.

In addition to Víctor, Marc Bernal is another player Flick has high hopes for. Recommended by Rafa Márquez, Bernal has shown impressive performances and leadership in Barça Athletic, despite being only 17. His talent and physical presence have caught Flick’s attention, even though he has been somewhat overshadowed by peers like Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsí.

Finally, Álex Valle is set to receive a chance with the first team. Flick, following in Xavi Hernández’s footsteps, is giving the 20-year-old winger an opportunity after a strong season with UD Llevant in La Liga Hypermotion. Valle, who previously played for Andorra, will join the senior squad following his successful stint in lower divisions.
