Liverpool fans have been made to wait all summer long for any sign of a first senior summer signing
According to reports, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Newcastle (90Min) have all expressed interest in the winger. This is unsurprising given the player’s profile and the high quality of his recent performances.
The versatile winger, capable of playing on either side, contributed 20 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions, despite Napoli’s decline during their title defense. In the previous season, he had an impressive tally of 31 goal contributions in 43 games across all competitions.
No disrespect to the Newcastle United winger, but signing Kvaratskhelia would better align with Liverpool’s ideal transfer goals.
There’s a clear interest in strengthening the left flank with a top young winger, yet there seems to be a surprising lack of effort to find cover for Mo Salah on the right side, especially considering his contract runs until 2025.
Acquiring the Napoli star, although not guaranteed at this point, would address both needs if our No.11 were to face an injury mid-season.
While a move for the Serie A attacker this summer seems unlikely, we would be pleased to be proven wrong.
