Zidane asks Perez to stop the sale of this player and renew his contract immediately

Real Madrid is actively shaping a future team capable of dominating global and European football, guided by the strategic vision of Florentino Pérez, the club’s legendary president. Despite the setback of Toni Kroos’ retirement, Real Madrid has managed to retain the core players who were instrumental in their Champions League victory last season.

As circumstances evolve, the status of various players can become uncertain, as evidenced by recent developments with Ferland Mendy. According to *Defensa Central*, while Mendy may not be known for flashy skills, he is a crucial asset for Real Madrid, a fact emphasized by Zinedine Zidane.

Zidane has advised Pérez on the importance of keeping Mendy, and as a result, Real Madrid has postponed pursuing Alphonso Davies until June 2025, reflecting a commitment to renewing Mendy’s contract, pending only his signature.

This decision indicates that Pérez has heeded both Carlo Ancelotti’s and Zidane’s recommendations regarding Mendy. The current coaching staff has welcomed this choice, as Mendy is highly regarded for his defensive prowess, which is recognized by both competitors and teammates, contributing to the satisfaction of the Italian coach.
