Liverpool sh.ocks Barcelona and gets closer to signing the golden deal

Barcelona is still actively searching the market for a high-quality left winger in the final moments before the transfer deadline. This move aims to bolster the team for the upcoming season and help Barcelona return to winning championships. The team has begun La Liga strongly, securing maximum points from their first three games and leading the standings, with hopes of maintaining this position throughout the season.

Italian international winger Federico Chiesa, currently with Juventus, is nearing a move to Liverpool this summer. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that an agreement between the two clubs has been reached for Chiesa to join Liverpool for a fee of 13 million euros, including add-ons. This development significantly reduces Barcelona’s chances of signing Chiesa, who was also a target for them. Romano also confirmed that Liverpool and Chiesa have settled all financial and contractual terms, paving the way for his official arrival at the club.

Federico Chiesa is expected to arrive in London within the next few hours to undergo medical tests and finalize his contract with Liverpool for a four-season term. Earlier reports had indicated that Barcelona was in talks with Chiesa, but their financial difficulties ended their pursuit of the winger, leading to their loss of a second target for the left wing position after missing out on Nico Williams. Last season, Chiesa, 26, played 37 matches for Juventus, scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists.
