The 17-year-old Bernal’s injury leaves Barcelona needing a substitute, with names like French midfielder Adrien Rabiot and Portuguese player Danilo Pereira of Paris Saint-Germain being considered.
Rabiot is viewed as a top option since he is currently a free agent, but his high salary is a concern. If he agrees to lower his wage, he could join Barcelona. Romero noted that Barcelona might make a move for Rabiot in the final moments of the transfer window if he is willing to accept a reduced salary.
It is worth mentioning that Adrien Rabiot, the French national team midfielder, departed Juventus when his contract ended at the close of last season. He is currently seeking a new team and could potentially join Camp Nou in the near future.
