Hansi Flick headed to the Barcelona dressing room to congratulate the team’s star player on his performance

Barcelona clinched a dramatic 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano, with Dani Olmo scoring the decisive goal in the final moments. After the match, coach Hansi Flick lauded his team’s performance, stating, “This victory showcases the players’ fighting spirit. They demonstrated great determination and earned the three points. Dani Olmo made a significant impact and proved to be a valuable addition, with his late goal highlighting his strong character and ability to handle pressure.”

Flick also mentioned, “Olmo will be a key asset for Barcelona this season, and rival teams will face considerable challenges against him. I hope he leads us to more victories.” According to Catalan newspaper “Sport,” Flick went straight to the locker room post-match to commend Olmo on his outstanding performance.

The newspaper further reported that Flick told his coaching staff that Ferran Torres’s continued presence at Barcelona is unproductive. He suggested that Torres should leave the team as he is not making a meaningful contribution.

Regarding Marc Bernal’s injury, Flick expressed concern, stating that it doesn’t look promising. The team’s doctor suspects a tear in the internal ligament of Bernal’s knee, which could significantly impact Flick’s plans for the season.
