Liverpool fans are convinced Mohamed Salah has dropped the biggest bombshell yet on his future.

Salah shone as Liverpool comfortably defeated Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday. He provided two assists for Luis Diaz and scored the third goal with a spectacular finish in the second half.

Following Liverpool’s win, Salah disclosed that this season will be his “last year” at the club due to his contract situation.

On Sky Sports, he said, “You know this is my last year at the club. I just want to enjoy it.” He also mentioned that, regarding his current contract, which ends next summer, “It’s not up to me but no one has spoken to me at the club.”

Salah’s post-match remarks naturally sparked a frenzy on social media, with Liverpool fans speculating about his future.

One X user commented: “The extension has to happen…can’t mess this up.”

Another user urged: “Get him signed up.”

A third added: “Somebody better start talking soon @LFC.”

A fourth remarked: “We all know what he meant. He’s on his last year at the club in terms of his contract.”

One more user noted: “Just dropped that bombshell like it was nothing.”

Salah, 32, has been at Anfield since the summer of 2017 after his transfer from AS Roma for £43 million. He has scored an impressive 214 goals across all competitions for Liverpool, winning the Premier League and Champions League, among other titles, during his time at the club.

The Egyptian forward is having another standout season, having already netted three goals in the opening three league matches.

As the club’s highest-earning player, Salah has been frequently linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. Last year, Liverpool turned down a £150 million offer from Al Ittihad for their star player.
