Man United fans slam two players after heavy Liverpool loss

Manchester United supporters laid into two players after a dismal 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.

United aimed to recover from their narrow defeat to Brighton last week but were decisively outplayed during Arne Slot’s first appearance at Old Trafford.

Luis Diaz scored twice in the first half thanks to two excellent assists from Mo Salah, who added his usual goal against United in the second half.

Despite summer changes, United continue to face the same problems under Erik ten Hag, and some fans are already growing frustrated after just two games.

Midfielder Casemiro was responsible for the first two goals due to turnovers in crucial areas, which led to his substitution at halftime for 20-year-old Toby Collyer. New signing Manuel Ugarte is expected to replace him permanently.

The Brazilian faced heavy criticism for a poor performance, while fans also expressed frustration with Marcus Rashford, who once again underperformed and seems a mere shadow of the player who scored 30 goals in Ten Hag’s first season.

Rashford, who had been harshly criticized by Jamie Carragher before the match, drew groans from the crowd when he opted to pass the ball backward instead of advancing it from a promising position.

The decision to substitute Alejandro Garnacho with Amad Diallo in the second half, rather than Rashford, was met with loud boos.

One supporter commented, “Casemiro had one of his worst performances ever.”

Another added, “Like this tweet if Casemiro should retire today.”

A third remarked, “Not trying to single him out, but Rashford is jogging, with a capital J, off the ball, and it’s a major issue every game.”

A fourth user expressed, “Rashford is so out of form… he keeps passing the ball backward.”

A fifth noted, “It’s like Rashford has suddenly developed an aversion to taking on defenders.”

A final person remarked, “Erik ten Hag is jeopardizing his job by sticking with Rashford and Casemiro.”
