Man City set to let player leave the club AFTER the English transfer window deadline as deal agreed

Manchester City are set to let a player leave the club after the English transfer window deadline after reaching a deal

Manchester City aim to secure a record-extending fifth Premier League title this season but opted for a relatively quiet summer transfer window.

Pep Guardiola’s squad saw the arrival of Brazilian winger Savinho and midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, who returned to City after a year away. However, there were more departures, with Julian Alvarez, Sergio Gomez, Joao Cancelo, Tommy Doyle, and Taylor Harwood-Bellis all sold, while Yan Couto, Issa Kabore, Kalvin Phillips, and Maximo Perrone were sent out on loan.

Even though the English transfer window closed on August 30, City are preparing to loan out a promising young player. According to The Athletic, City have agreed to loan 18-year-old academy prospect Joel Ndala to PSV Eindhoven.

Ndala, who drew interest from major European clubs like AC Milan, will join PSV on a season-long loan. The Dutch transfer window remains open until September 2, allowing this move to proceed.

The agreement includes a conditional buy obligation, with PSV required to purchase Ndala if he meets certain performance targets. The initial fee is approximately €7 million (£5.9m) but could increase to €10 million (£8.4m) based on performance.

City will retain a buyback option and a substantial sell-on clause for Ndala, who joined their youth ranks from Port Vale in 2017. With four years left on his contract, Ndala will undergo a medical in the Netherlands on Monday. If PSV opts to make the transfer permanent, he will sign a contract lasting until 2029.

Ndala, an England youth international, made 11 appearances in Premier League 2 last season.
