A major cri.sis between Laporta and Barcelona star

After the European transfer window closed, Barcelona’s management still has unresolved issues concerning the departure of some players. It’s worth noting that Barcelona only completed two signings during the last transfer window: young striker Pau Victor and Leipzig’s star midfielder Dani Olmo, who is also a member of the Spanish national team.

According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport,” a new conflict has emerged involving Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong. Reports suggest growing tension between de Jong and Barcelona president Joan Laporta. The dispute began when de Jong perceived that Laporta was trying to offload him since taking office, partly because de Jong was not part of the current administration’s signings and his agent does not have a close relationship with the president.

The situation is further complicated by De Jong’s refusal to leave the club, as he earns a high salary that he is unlikely to receive from any other team. Given this scenario, there is growing uncertainty about his future at the club, especially with his current injury, which may soon require surgical treatment.
