Hansi Flick challenges Laporta and stops the sale of Barcelona star

Several significant developments have emerged in Barcelona, particularly following the closure of the European summer transfer window a few days ago. Barcelona successfully signed young forward Pau Victor and Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo from Leipzig for a total of 60 million euros.

Reports from the Spanish press have revealed German coach Hansi Flick’s decision regarding Ansu Fati, the Blaugrana star. Spanish journalist Mateo Morito stated, “Despite interest from other clubs, Ansu Fati was not close to leaving Barcelona this summer. Flick has full confidence in him and wants to utilize him as a central striker rather than as a winger.”

Fati was nearly transferred away from the Catalan club during the last transfer period, but Flick’s support ensured his continued presence at Barcelona. The Spanish newspaper noted that while Laporta was inclined to sell Fati this summer, Flick’s insistence on keeping him was driven by his belief in the player’s potential for the season.

Barcelona has had a strong start to the Spanish Football League, winning all four of their opening matches and leading the table with 12 points.
