Better than Nico Williams and a close friend of Lamine Yamal, the player at Barcelona in exchange for the departure of Ferran Torres

Ferran Torres’s future at Barcelona is uncertain following multiple starting opportunities under Hansi Flick, which have not convinced the coach. Flick has advised Joan Laporta and Deco to consider any offers that come in. While attempts to sell Torres last summer were unsuccessful, there is optimism that January could bring new offers, with interest from clubs like Newcastle United, Napoli, and some Saudi Professional League teams.

Barcelona is unlikely to recover the €55 million spent on Torres but would prefer to accept less than half of that amount to offload him. According to El Nacional, if Torres leaves, Dani Rodriguez is a potential replacement. Rodriguez is an emerging talent whose potential is seen as surpassing that of Nico Williams, a key target for Barcelona’s 2025 plans.

Dani Rodriguez, a European Under-19 Championship winner with Spain, has emerged as a promising talent from La Masia. Despite his current injury, there are significant expectations for his future. Joan Laporta and Deco worked hard over the summer to retain him, promising him playing time under Hansi Flick.

Rodriguez’s strong bond with teammate Lamine Yamal might also enhance his chances of joining the first team. Should Ferran Torres depart, Dani Rodriguez could have an exciting opportunity to secure a more prominent role in the Barcelona squad
