Hansi Flick closes a golden deal for Barcelona in the summer of 2025

Barcelona is persistently seeking free-agent deals to reinforce their squad due to ongoing financial difficulties. According to the Catalan newspaper *Sport*, Hansi Flick, the team’s technical director, has reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah to join Barcelona in the summer transfer window of 2025.

The newspaper reported that Flick has urged Joan Laporta and Deco to make every effort to secure Jonathan Tah’s transfer to Barcelona, aiming to bolster the defense which may face significant changes due to the potential departures of Inigo Martinez and Eric Garcia. Tah, Bayer Leverkusen’s captain, played a key role in their historic season, helping them win both the German League and the German Cup without a single loss. The report also noted that Tah turned down a substantial offer from Bayern Munich to join Barcelona, following a personal call from Flick.
