Real Madrid ‘targeting FOUR Premier League stars’ that could make them the most formidable team in history

Real Madrid is preparing for another impressive wave of signings as they embark on a new ‘Galacticos’ era at the Spanish club.

Madrid, already the reigning European and Spanish champions, appear poised to maintain their pursuit of top honors in the future after bolstering their squad with Kylian Mbappe and Endrick this summer.

Despite having stars like Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, and Rodrygo, Madrid is not complacent.

The Independent reports that the Spanish club is targeting four Premier League players to further solidify their dominance. They are interested in Manchester City midfielder Rodri, Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, and potentially either Arsenal defender William Saliba or Tottenham centre-back Cristian Romero.

This ambitious move follows a period of financial adjustment over the past five years, during which Madrid focused on younger talents to build a future-ready team. This approach was partly due to the growing financial power of top Premier League teams, which made competition tougher.

Nevertheless, Madrid has continued to secure major trophies, winning five of the last nine Champions League titles. Recent astute transfers have improved their financial position, enabling them to make significant bids for top-tier players, including the four Premier League stars mentioned.

Rodri is reportedly the club’s main target, given his importance to both Manchester City and the Spanish national team.

At the Bernabeu, there’s a belief that the midfielder may eventually wish to return to Spain, with the outcome of Manchester City’s ongoing 115 Premier League charges potentially being crucial.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has yet to renew his contract with Liverpool and could become a free agent next summer if no agreement is reached soon.

He is reported to be in regular touch with Jude Bellingham about Madrid, reflecting their close relationship from their time together on international duty.

Madrid is also interested in signing William Saliba but recognizes that securing him might be challenging due to his contract with Arsenal, which runs until 2027. As a backup plan, they have identified Tottenham’s Cristian Romero as an alternative if Saliba remains with the Gunners.

Regardless of which players they sign, Real Madrid is expected to continue being a dominant force in European football for years to come.
