Attacker Liverpool want to sign has no plans to join the Premier League side

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo as the Reds plan for life without Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian forward is in the final year of his contract with the club, and his future at Anfield is uncertain.

Liverpool has begun exploring potential replacements for their prolific attacker, with one option being Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward, Rodrygo.

As reported by TBR Football, Rodrygo is aware of Liverpool’s interest in him. However, he has no plans to leave Real Madrid for the Premier League giants as long as he remains part of the team’s plans at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Initially, it seemed Rodrygo might be benched due to the signing of Kylian Mbappe and the rise of Arda Guler. Yet, Carlo Ancelotti has continued to trust the young Brazilian, starting him in five of seven La Liga matches this season.

According to the report, Liverpool has maintained a long-term interest in the attacker and even inquired about signing him this summer.

The club also considered pursuing Rodrygo’s Real Madrid teammate, Aurelien Tchouameni, but was informed by the La Liga champions that neither player is available for transfer.

Rodrygo is pleased by Liverpool’s interest but is not inclined to leave Real Madrid unless the club indicates they no longer need him.

As a crucial player for Real Madrid, his versatility in various attacking positions has been vital during significant matches.

With the ability to play across the front line, Rodrygo has proven to be an asset for Los Blancos in recent successful years. If Liverpool aims to bolster their attack, they may need to explore other options unless Real Madrid changes its stance on selling Rodrygo.
