Flick decides to sell Barca star in January and leave this player on the bench

Osasuna handed Barcelona their first defeat of the season in the Spanish League, with a final score of 4-2. Following the loss, Barcelona remains at the top of the standings with 21 points, while Osasuna moves up to sixth place with 14 points. Barcelona’s next match is against Alaves on October 6, and Osasuna will face Getafe on October 5.

According to El Nacional, coach Hansi Flick is considering selling Ferran Torres in the January transfer window, attributing some blame for the defeat to his lineup choices against Osasuna. Flick is reportedly interested in acquiring Kingsley Coman and Riyad Mahrez to enhance Barcelona’s attack, viewing Coman as a strategic addition to help counter defensive setups. The report suggests that Torres has not lived up to expectations and has failed to win Flick’s confidence.

The newspaper reported that Flick has chosen to expedite the signing of Polish goalkeeper Szczesny to integrate him into Barcelona’s squad, following a poor performance by Pena. As a result, goalkeeper Inaki will remain on the bench as a substitute and will not start any matches for the rest of the season.
