Liverpool has reportedly received a significant boost in their pursuit of a potential transfer target for 2025. Eze has made a strong start to the 2024/25 season, scoring three goals in eight matches, although only one has been in the Premier League. This follows two seasons in which he netted over ten goals in the top flight (Transfermarkt). Despite Crystal Palace struggling this season and finding themselves in the relegation zone after a recent loss to Everton, Eze’s individual performances remain impressive.
The challenging circumstances at Crystal Palace, coupled with Olise’s successful transfer to Bayern Munich, may intensify Eze’s desire to leave for new opportunities. If Liverpool chooses to pursue the 26-year-old, they will face competition from other clubs. However, Eze’s versatility makes him an attractive option for Liverpool manager Arne Slot, as he can play in multiple midfield and attacking roles, enhancing the team’s depth and flexibility.
