BARCELONANeither Coman nor Kimmich… Hansi Flick asks to sign a surprise star from Bayern Munich

Barcelona officials are looking to acquire a Bayern Munich player in the upcoming summer transfer window to strengthen their squad.

Under German coach Hansi Flick, Barcelona is performing well, currently leading La Liga with 24 points from 9 matches. The club aims to enhance its roster significantly to regain its competitive edge. According to the Catalan newspaper Sport, Barcelona is interested in signing Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane on a free transfer after his contract expires next summer, as endorsed by Flick.

The club is keeping an eye on player market developments and is exploring available opportunities while assessing its financial situation for new signings. Sane, preferred by Flick over Ferran Torres, is a prime target. His contract with Bayern ends in June, and although he wishes to renew, his circumstances remain uncertain.

Sane’s playing time has decreased since Bayern acquired Michael Oliseh, leading to his exclusion from the German national team. This situation increases the likelihood of him leaving Bayern without a transfer fee.

Flick is familiar with Sane from their time together at Bayern, where Sane was instrumental in securing multiple titles. The coach believes that Sane could be a valuable asset for Barcelona’s attack, particularly in skill and goal creation, addressing a gap on the left side.
