Manchester United fans have called on Erik ten Hag to give one player a chance in the first team.
Manchester United’s season has been disappointing, as they currently sit 14th in the Premier League table. In Europe, the Red Devils are still searching for their first win in the UEFA Europa League after drawing with FC Twente and FC Porto.
Manager Erik ten Hag is facing mounting pressure, with doubts emerging about his ability to lead the club effectively. Additionally, United is grappling with a mini-injury crisis at full-back, following injuries to Luke Shaw and Noussair Mazraoui, leaving Diogo Dalot as the only fully fit option.
Consequently, fans are urging the club to reconsider giving a chance to 17-year-old Harry Amass. According to The Athletic, United believes Amass is “not yet ready for the physicality of first-team football,” but they hold him in high regard following his impressive performances during the pre-season tour in the United States.
On social media, one fan expressed, “It’s time we give Harry Amass a chance in this Manchester United team…” Another added, “I’ve been saying this since summer; I’m tired of repeating it.”
A third fan remarked, “ETH has blood on his hands for not giving this boy a chance with such a lack of depth at left-back.” Another added, “Harry Amass deserves the opportunity now that Dalot is the only fullback available.” A fifth fan stated, “Erik ten Hag must give Harry Amass a chance.” Additionally, one supporter emphasized, “It’s time to let Harry Amass play in the first team. The youngster has potential, and this could be his moment to shine.”
Manchester United will be back in Premier League action next weekend, hosting Brentford at Old Trafford.
