Former Manchester United midfielder and French international Paul Pogba has mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Juventus and is set to join a surprising Premier League club

### Pogba Dismisses Marseille Move Rumors Amid Ongoing Suspension

Paul Pogba has addressed rumors linking him to a transfer to Olympique Marseille, categorically stating that such speculation is “not believable.” The 31-year-old midfielder, currently suspended due to a doping violation, has recently had his initial ban significantly reduced, which has reignited discussions about his future.

Pogba’s suspension followed a positive test for testosterone at the start of the 2023–2024 season, casting uncertainty over his career. However, after a successful appeal, the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced his ban, potentially allowing him to return to professional football by March 2025. This development has prompted speculation about where he might play next.

Recently, one prominent rumor suggested that Pogba was in talks with Ligue 1 club Marseille. This speculation intensified after Patrice Evra, a close friend and former Manchester United teammate, hinted that he would recommend Pogba to Marseille’s sporting director, Medhi Benatia. Evra’s comments stirred considerable media interest, raising questions about a possible move.

In an interview with L’Equipe, Pogba clarified that the transfer rumors were exaggerated, saying, “I chuckle because Uncle Pat [Evra] made the comment in jest. It is not plausible because I am still under contract,” referring to his deal with Juventus, which runs until 2026. His dismissal of the Marseille links has dampened excitement among fans.

Despite the reduction of his suspension, Pogba’s future at Juventus is uncertain. Since returning to the club in 2022, he has struggled with injuries and inconsistency, complicating his position within the team. Reports indicate that discussions are ongoing between Pogba’s representatives and Juventus about a potential mutual termination of his contract, which could allow him to pursue new opportunities.

As Pogba aims to rebuild his career, the upcoming months are critical. While a move to Marseille appears unlikely, his commitment to competing at the highest level remains strong. Pogba’s journey back to the pitch is set for March 2025, and as his situation evolves, fans and the media will be closely monitoring his next steps. Whether he remains at Juventus or seeks a fresh start elsewhere, one thing is clear: Pogba is determined to make a successful return to football.
