Hansi Flick has decided the future of the Barcelona star: He will play a little and may not play at all

Barcelona is enjoying a strong season under German coach Hansi Flick, who has revitalized the team and boosted their confidence. However, Flick has chosen to leave one of the club’s stars out of his plans due to concerns about that player’s recent performance.

According to the Spanish newspaper “El Nacional,” Ansu Fati is frustrated with his limited playing time, especially after missing the recent Clasico against Real Madrid. Flick’s decisions suggest that Fati may not align with his vision for the team, prompting the young player to contemplate a transfer in January.

Once regarded as a key talent from La Masia, Fati has faced injury setbacks and has fallen short of expectations. The competition for attacking positions is fierce, with players like Lamine Yamal, Rafinha, and Dani Olmo performing well, which has further diminished Fati’s opportunities. Even when given chances in rotated lineups, he has struggled to capitalize on them, jeopardizing his spot.

Under Flick’s leadership, Fati seems likely to see limited playing time, as the coach tends to exclude underperforming players. This situation has led to speculation about Fati potentially leaving in the winter transfer window.

Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, is reportedly assessing options for Fati’s future, considering that a loan or sale might be advantageous for both sides. He is in discussions with interested clubs, as Fati still holds a strong reputation in the European market despite his recent difficulties.
