Arsenal’s Secret Pursuit of Saka Alternative Amid Injury Concerns

Arsenal is reportedly taking steps to secure a dependable backup for their key winger, Bukayo Saka. The English player was instrumental in the team’s recent 2-2 draw against Liverpool but raised concerns after a recent injury during an England match against Greece. Although Saka managed to return in time to score a stunning opener against Liverpool, his previous absences highlighted the team’s need for more depth in their attacking lineup.

Saka’s remarkable performances, including 20 goals last season and a strong start this season with four goals and seven assists, make him essential for Arsenal’s title ambitions. However, his recent injury issues have prompted the recruitment team, led by Edu Gaspar, to search for a high-quality winger who can step in as needed.

Among the candidates being considered are Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford and Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, both of whom have shown impressive performances that caught Arsenal’s attention as potential backups.

Furthermore, former West Ham recruitment chief Mick Brown has mentioned that Arsenal has been “working in the background” on a potential deal for Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane. The £320,000-a-week winger, who will be a free agent next summer, has drawn interest from multiple clubs. Arsenal’s interest in Sane underscores their aim to enhance their squad with experience and quality. Brown highlighted Sane’s explosive style and Premier League experience as potentially ideal for Arsenal’s quest for their first league title in over twenty years.

With a demanding schedule approaching, including matches against Newcastle, Chelsea, and Manchester United, finding a suitable alternative for Saka could be vital for Arsenal’s success this season.
