Heartbreaking news has been confirmed for Liverpool fans after shocking news about Mo Salah is revealed

A Saudi club may have a strong motivation to attempt signing Mo Salah before his contract with Liverpool expires.

A journalist has highlighted a key motivation for a Saudi Pro League club to speed up their efforts to sign Mo Salah next year.

Currently, Salah’s contract with Liverpool runs until June 30, 2025, sparking ongoing speculation about his future. In the summer of 2023, Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad made a ÂŁ150m bid to sign him, but Liverpool rejected the offer (BBC Sport).

Al-Hilal Set to Make a Move for Salah
Speaking on talkSPORT’s *White and Jordan* on Monday, journalist Ben Jacobs suggested that Al-Hilal are now in prime position to bring Salah to the Saudi Pro League. He mentioned that the club could aim to sign the 32-year-old ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup in June 2025.

Jacobs explained: “The target is 2025, and Al-Hilal is the club. The Saudi football federation is expected to use FIFA’s exceptional window ahead of the Club World Cup, potentially allowing them to sign Salah between June 1 and 10. This would not only bring him to the Saudi Pro League but also prepare him for the Club World Cup.”

He concluded, “Salah’s move to Saudi Arabia is still on the cards, with Al-Hilal being the most likely destination, especially with the Club World Cup in mind.”

Salah would have a better chance of winning trophies at Liverpool.
From Al-Hilal’s perspective, there’s a strong incentive to try and sign Salah before the expanded Club World Cup next summer, especially as the Saudi club will be one of the 32 teams taking part.

The Egyptian forward has already won the tournament in its previous, smaller format with Liverpool in 2019, when the Reds defeated Flamengo in the final in Qatar, during a season that also saw them win the Premier League.

Naturally, every Liverpool fan will be hoping Salah agrees to a new contract at Anfield well before Al-Hilal can convince him to move to Riyadh in time for the global competition in the USA.

With all due respect to Al-Hilal, Salah is far more likely to win significant trophies with Liverpool this season or next than with Jorge Jesus’ side. Therefore, it wouldn’t make much sense for him to leave Liverpool solely based on the opportunity Jacobs mentioned.
