BARCELONANico Williams reveals how Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde tried to convince him to join Barcelona

Nico Williams shared how Barcelona players tried to persuade him to join the club during the summer transfer window. The Athletic Club forward was Barcelona’s primary target, but he ultimately decided to remain with the Basque side.

In an appearance on *La Revuelta TV*, Williams spoke about the challenging period, revealing that players like Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde would constantly message him. He jokingly said, “It was tough. On top of that, those ‘bastards’ Lamine, Balde, and others kept texting me saying, ‘Come now, come now.’”

Williams also mentioned that, despite not moving to Barcelona, he continues to receive messages from their fans. “It’s hard to escape from that,” he explained. “I still get messages, even though I’m not linked with them. Some fans say, ‘Go to Barca,’ while others tell me, ‘We don’t need you anymore.’”

Barcelona eventually signed Dani Olmo instead of Williams, and the forward has shone in his return to the club from RB Leipzig.
