BARCELONABarcelona interested in 21-year-old rising star who rejected Real Madrid contract offer

Martin Baturina is making a strong impression with his performances for Croatian powerhouse Dinamo Zagreb, catching the attention of top clubs across Europe.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has already drawn significant interest from Real Madrid. As previously reported, Baturina turned down a five-year contract offer from the La Liga champions.

Barcelona Also Interested
Now, according to Sky Sport Germany’s Patrick Berger, Barcelona has also expressed interest in signing Baturina. The 21-year-old is set to leave Dinamo Zagreb at the end of the season, eager to advance his career. It’s reported that Barcelona has taken note of the talented youngster, who has the backing of Real Madrid captain Luka Modric.

Manchester United and Atletico Madrid also admire the Croatian international, but according to reports, Baturina views the Bundesliga as the ideal next step before eventually joining a larger club.

Baturina, who has scored two goals and provided seven assists in 17 appearances this season, does not have a release clause in his contract with Dinamo Zagreb. He is expected to cost between €20-25 million in the summer.

**Does Barcelona Need Baturina?**
While Baturina is an exciting prospect, Barcelona already has a wealth of options in the attacking midfield position. Hansi Flick can rely on players like Dani Olmo, Pedri, Fermin Lopez, and Pablo Torre, while Raphinha has also been effective when used centrally. Additionally, young talents such as Unai Hernandez and Noah Darvich are waiting in the wings and could make an impact in the senior squad in the future.

Given the depth in this position, Barcelona would likely be better served using their resources to address other areas of greater need rather than pursuing Baturina.
