BREAKING NEWS: Amazing news has been confirmed for Liverpool fans today. đź‘Ź

Liverpool are reportedly planning significant changes to their attacking lineup next summer, with a focus on potential signings to refresh the team under new manager Arne Slot. Among the players under consideration are Viktor Gyokeres and Nico Williams, who could replace Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah.

Sources suggest that Liverpool is targeting wide forwards such as Spain international Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao and Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane. Sane’s contract with Bayern expires next summer, making him a potential target amid growing uncertainty about Salah’s future at Anfield. With Salah’s contract also expiring at the end of the season, Liverpool is preparing for the possibility that he may not extend his stay.

The club has also shown interest in Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon as a potential wide forward, though their pursuit cooled after they deemed his price tag too high during the previous transfer window. Newcastle, in contrast, is expected to begin discussions on renewing Gordon’s contract.

While manager Arne Slot still supports Nunez, there is concern within the club over his inconsistent performances in his first two seasons, which could lead to a search for a new central striker. Should Nunez fail to improve significantly, Liverpool will likely consider other options for the role.

One potential target to replace Nunez is Viktor Gyokeres, the Swedish forward from Sporting Lisbon, who has been in excellent form this season. Gyokeres has attracted interest from multiple top clubs, including Liverpool, who view him as a priority signing due to his impressive goal-scoring record. His performances suggest that a move to a bigger club is imminent, and Liverpool is closely monitoring his situation.

Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins is another striker admired by some at Liverpool, though his high asking price and current contract make him a less realistic target.

If Liverpool were to lose Salah, it would be a major blow, but the club may see it as an opportunity to completely overhaul their attack. This could also signal the end for Nunez, with Slot potentially working with a new forward line featuring players like Gyokeres and Williams, who are seen as ideal long-term solutions, although securing these transfers could be challenging.
