Lewandowski does not want to see him in Barcelona and threatens to leave if this player is signed

Robert Lewandowski has been in exceptional form for Barcelona this season under coach Hansi Flick. The 37-year-old Polish striker is proving that he’s still performing at the highest level. As the leader of Barcelona’s attack, Lewandowski has shown unwavering commitment and dedication in every match, further solidifying both the coach’s and fans’ trust in his ability to remain a key player.

Given his stellar performances, Lewandowski has expressed confidence in his physical condition and has shown interest in extending his contract through the summer of 2026. According to the Spanish outlet *El Nacional*, this confidence not only reflects his personal form but also his place in the club’s plans under sporting director Deco, who aims to strengthen the attack.

Deco is reportedly interested in signing Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres, a powerful and versatile forward known for his goal-scoring and technical skills. Deco believes Gyökeres would be a great fit for Barcelona’s style of play and a valuable long-term addition. However, the potential signing has caused concern among Lewandowski’s inner circle.

Lewandowski, accustomed to being the central figure in every team he’s played for, views the arrival of another top striker as a direct threat to his starting spot. At this stage in his career, stability is a priority for him, and the addition of Gyökeres would likely lead to more rotation in the attack, something Lewandowski is not willing to accept.

The report also mentions that Lewandowski has made it clear to coach Flick that he would leave Barcelona at the end of the season if the club proceeds with signing Gyökeres. This situation presents a significant dilemma for Barcelona’s management, who must weigh the potential benefits of investing in Gyökeres against the risk of alienating one of their star players.
