Viktor Gyokeres Comments on Manchester United and Arsenal’s Interest Amid Transfer Speculation

Amidst growing transfer rumors linking him to both Arsenal and Manchester United, Viktor Gyokeres has addressed speculation regarding his future. The Swedish striker, currently with Sporting CP, spoke about the ongoing buzz surrounding his potential move and shared his thoughts on his former coach, Ruben Amorim.

Gyokeres’ situation has become more complex following Amorim’s recent switch to Manchester United. The manager’s move to the Premier League club has fueled further talk about Gyokeres possibly leaving, with reports indicating that the 26-year-old could be sold for a fee between £50m and £58m next summer, despite his £83m release clause.

In an interview with Fotbollskanalen, Gyokeres expressed disappointment over Amorim’s departure, saying, “It’s really sad that he’s leaving, but we understand his decision. He’s been very important to me, giving me the opportunity to develop and improve.” Amorim’s exit has led to speculation that Manchester United might be interested in bringing Gyokeres to Old Trafford, although the striker has not received any direct contact from the club.

Gyokeres clarified that he had not been approached by anyone from Manchester United, including Amorim, when asked about the transfer rumors linking him to the Premier League club. “No, he hasn’t contacted me,” Gyokeres remarked. “It’s fun to hear the rumors, but I don’t take them seriously. It’s just talk with no real substance.”

When discussing possible moves to other clubs like Arsenal, Gyokeres emphasized the importance of playing a key role in any new team. “What matters most is being given an important role and a chance to play regularly,” he said. “I’ll seriously consider any offer, but it’s crucial that it aligns with my career goals.”

As the transfer window nears, Gyokeres’ future remains uncertain. While Arsenal has long shown interest in the forward, Manchester United’s managerial changes could complicate matters. However, Gyokeres has made it clear that his focus is on personal development, and he will carefully consider any offers that provide both competitive opportunities and a path for growth.

With both Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly monitoring the striker, the coming months will be crucial in determining where Gyokeres will continue his career.
