Arsenal Greenlit to Seal £45m Transfer as Bayern Eyes Replacement for Alphonso Davies

Arsenal has received a significant boost in their pursuit of Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko, with reports suggesting he is leaning towards a move to the Emirates. This development comes amid strong competition from Chelsea, Manchester United, and top Italian clubs. With a new striker a priority for the 2024/25 season, Sesko has emerged as Arsenal’s top target, surpassing other options such as Ivan Toney and Alexander Isak.

According to *The Mirror*, Sesko’s agent, Elvis Basanovic, has been seen at Arsenal matches, fueling rumors of a potential deal. Arsenal is reportedly hoping to negotiate a reduced fee for Sesko, whose current release clause is set at £45m.

Sesko’s physicality and finishing abilities align well with Mikel Arteta’s tactical vision, despite the fact that he hasn’t been Leipzig’s first-choice striker, with Lois Openda often preferred. At just 20, Sesko is viewed as a long-term investment and a potential key figure in Arsenal’s pursuit of Premier League success.

In defense, Arsenal is reportedly targeting Feyenoord’s Quilindschy Hartman, which could impact the left-back position. Bayern Munich’s new manager, Vincent Kompany, is also said to be interested in reuniting with Oleksandr Zinchenko, whom he coached at Manchester City.

Zinchenko played a key role in Arsenal’s resurgence during his first season but has struggled with injuries and form recently. While Bayern may offer a fresh start, Arsenal faces a dilemma: recoup the £32m spent on Zinchenko or retain his versatile contributions as they push for the title.

As the transfer window approaches, Arsenal’s plans are beginning to take shape, with a mix of strategic signings and potential high-profile departures.
