**Arsenal Leading the Race for RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, Beating Out Manchester United and Bayern Munich**
Arsenal is reportedly in pole position to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, ahead of competitors Manchester United and Bayern Munich, according to TEAMtalk. The 21-year-old Slovenian, who impressed in his debut season at Leipzig, had previously been a target for Arsenal last summer but opted to extend his contract with the Bundesliga club.
Despite his recent contract renewal, Sesko’s future remains uncertain, with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta eager to strengthen his attacking options as the Gunners aim to challenge Premier League heavyweights like Manchester City and Liverpool. Sources indicate that Arsenal has a clear advantage in the pursuit of Sesko, with favorable discussions with his representatives and the prospect of significant playing time as part of their long-term plans.
Sesko’s value has surged following a strong start to the current season, having netted 6 goals and provided 3 assists in 9 appearances. While Bayern Munich has expressed interest, Sesko is reportedly hesitant about playing second fiddle to Harry Kane. Similarly, Manchester United, despite their recent signings of Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee, may not offer him a guaranteed starting spot.
Arsenal, on the other hand, could provide a more promising opportunity for Sesko to secure a starting role. With Kai Havertz performing well, he could drop into a deeper midfield position when needed, opening up space for Sesko to lead the attack. A move to Arsenal could also see Gabriel Jesus face increased competition for his spot.
Although Leipzig removed a £55 million release clause from Sesko’s contract during his renewal, journalist Marco Guidi of *Gazzetta dello Sport* reports that the Slovenian forward could cost upwards of £66 million next summer, depending on his performances throughout the season.
