Barcelona, led by Joan Laporta, has reportedly proposed a swap deal with Borussia Dortmund, offering one of its players in exchange for one of Dortmundâs stars. The Catalan club is looking to bolster its attacking line, particularly with Polish striker Robert Lewandowski’s contract nearing its end and his advancing age.
According to the Spanish newspaper *Sport*, Barcelona is targeting Dortmundâs Karim Adeyemi and has made an official offer for the German forward. The report adds that Hansi Flick, the German national team coach, is highly impressed by Adeyemi and sees him as one of Europe’s top emerging talents, making him an ideal addition to Barcelonaâs attack.
In exchange, Barcelona is offering Ferran Torres as part of the deal. Flick, who is reportedly dissatisfied with Torres’ performances, is keen to have him leave and hopes Dortmund will accept the swap, along with a cash payment, for Adeyemi. So far this season, Adeyemi has played 8 matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists.
