Lille striker Jonathan David expressed, “I’ve been a Barca supporter since childhood. It’s always been my dream to play for the team I grew up following.”
David’s future at Lille has been the subject of growing speculation as his contract, which ends on June 30, 2025, remains unsigned. The Canadian forward’s situation has drawn attention from some of Europe’s top clubs, but Lille’s president, Olivier Letang, stated that the club feels “no pressure” to sell him, as they have already made him a new contract offer.
Both Rafa Leao and Jonathan David are reportedly “crazy” about the idea of joining Barcelona.
