Real Madrid negotiates with a surprise coach to complete the season with the team in the event of Ancelotti’s dismissal

The threat to Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti’s position at the helm of Spain’s Real Madrid has not yet passed, according to reports from the Spanish network Relevo on Saturday evening. Despite the recent tranquility following the team’s 4-0 win over Osasuna, Ancelotti could still be dismissed. Real Madrid is reportedly in talks with a surprise candidate to take over the team for the remainder of the season, should Ancelotti be let go.

According to allegations released on Saturday night by the Spanish network Relevo, the threat still hangs over the head of Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, who is Italian. Despite the recent quiet following Real Madrid’s 4-0 victory over Osasuna in the game before the most recent international break, Ancelotti might not be able to stay at the club. According to Relevo, Real Madrid has already taken action and gotten in touch with a possible replacement in case Ancelotti is fired. These conversations happened after the team’s Champions League defeat at the hands of AC Milan.

According to the network, Real Madrid has selected former coach Santiago Solari as their preferred successor, and the move is expected to happen should Ancelotti lose the team’s next Champions League match against Liverpool. According to reports, Solari is ahead of Merengue reserve team coach Raul Gonzalez in the competition to succeed Ancelotti. Solari went to Spain a few days ago as part of Real Madrid’s emergency contingency plans. Ancelotti, for his part, is still sure that he can guide the squad through the upcoming time and get them back to their former level of performance, both at home and in Europe.
