Hansi Flick surprises Barcelona star and relies on him as a starter against Brest tonigh

German coach Hansi Flick, who manages Barcelona, has made a surprise decision by including a new player in the team’s lineup for tonight’s Champions League match against Brest. Flick is currently dealing with several injuries in the squad, including key players Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, Eric Garcia, and Ronald Araujo. Additionally, Flick confirmed that Alejandro Balde will miss the match due to muscle issues.

Barcelona is coming off a tough draw against Celta Vigo, where they were held to a 2-2 draw after leading by two goals. The match was further complicated by a red card to Casado, which shifted the momentum in Celta Vigo’s favor.

Journalist Javi Miguel reports that Hector Fort is expected to start in place of Balde at left-back, with Flick choosing Fort over Gerard Martin, who has struggled for form since his promotion to the first team. Barcelona aims to secure a fourth consecutive Champions League victory and move closer to advancing directly to the next round.
