Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, stated that finding another player like Toni Kroos will be extremely difficult, praising him as one of football’s greatest legends.
Kroos chose to retire from professional football after the recent European Championship, ending a career filled with numerous titles at both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Although he performed strongly last season and could have continued his career at Real Madrid, Kroos decided to retire to focus on spending more time with his family.
Perez spoke about Kroos’s influence, saying, “It will be very hard to find another player like him; he is one of the best in our history.” He added, “He is one of the greatest legends in world football. His farewell on May 25 was a deeply emotional and unforgettable moment.”
Echoing Perez’s thoughts, Real Madrid’s Italian coach, as reported by Marca, also believes the team’s current challenges are partly due to the absence of Kroos and the important role he played in the squad.
