Valverde expl, odes in the face of Real Madrid star after losing to Liverpool and asks Ancelotti to exclude him from the starting lineup

Liverpool claimed a crucial 2-0 win over Real Madrid at Anfield on Wednesday night in the final match of the Champions League group stage.

This victory allowed Liverpool to top the group with a perfect 15-point record, while Real Madrid stayed on 6 points, in 24th place. This marked Madrid’s third loss in the Champions League this season, following defeats to Lille and AC Milan, making their path to advancing from the top 8 more difficult.

According to the Spanish newspaper Defensa Central, one of the most upset players in the Real Madrid squad was Fede Valverde, who reportedly began criticizing key players even before the match ended.

Valverde reportedly blamed French star Kylian Mbappé for Madrid’s loss to Liverpool, as well as their recent defeats. The Uruguayan midfielder highlighted missed chances, including a penalty that could have changed the outcome, as major factors behind Madrid’s struggles.

The report stated that Valverde’s criticism was so severe that coach Carlo Ancelotti had to intervene to separate the players. However, Valverde is said to have continued expressing his frustration, even suggesting that Mbappé should be excluded from future matches.

The team’s atmosphere is described as tense, with Ancelotti seemingly losing control of the dressing room.
