PSG and Barcelona plotting bids for shock Liverpool player after ‘disagreements’ behind the scenes

Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are reportedly plotting bids to sign a surprise Liverpool star who has had ‘disagreements’ with his current club.

It’s widely known that Mo Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk, all key players for Liverpool, have contracts expiring at the end of the season.

Salah stirred controversy by publicly stating that he hasn’t received an offer from the club, while Alexander-Arnold is frequently rumored to be linked with a move to Real Madrid.

In a surprising development, another important Liverpool player, Luis Diaz, could be on the move after contract talks didn’t go as planned.

According to Antena 2, Liverpool have been negotiating with Diaz and even presented an offer. However, the offer reportedly didn’t meet the Colombian forward’s expectations, despite his impressive form with nine goals and two assists in 18 appearances for a team leading both the Premier League and Champions League tables.

Diaz’s current contract runs until 2027, but negotiations for an extension have not progressed as anticipated, with some disagreements arising.

Both PSG and Barcelona, who have been long-time admirers of Luis Diaz, are reportedly monitoring the situation. Their interest is described as “latent,” and Liverpool is expected to continue discussions with Diaz in hopes of reaching an agreement.

If the two sides fail to find common ground, there’s a possibility that Diaz could be available during the summer transfer window.

Diaz joined Liverpool from Porto in 2022 for £37.5 million and has since scored 33 goals in 116 appearances, winning both the FA Cup and Carabao Cups.

After a 2-0 victory over Real Madrid on Wednesday, Liverpool will return to action on Sunday to face Manchester City in a crucial match at Anfield.

In other news, you can now get Sky Sports for £10 through a Black Friday deal, considered the cheapest price ever for the service. This offer is available when adding Sky Sports to the basic package for an additional £20, bringing the total monthly cost to £39.
