Hansi Flick surprises Barcelona goalkeeper Szczesny with this decision before Mallorca match in La Liga tomorrow

Barcelona’s loss to Las Palmas at Montjuïc raised concerns within the club, highlighting issues with several players. This defeat marked their third league loss of the season, following previous setbacks against Osasuna and Real Sociedad. Barcelona now risks losing their position at the top of La Liga.

According to Catalan newspaper Sport, one of the most scrutinized players is Iñaki Peña, who became the starting goalkeeper after Marc-André ter Stegen’s injury. However, Peña has struggled to meet the team’s expectations in goalkeeping.

The game against Las Palmas particularly showcased Peña’s lack of confidence. Despite Las Palmas posing minimal threat to Barcelona’s goal, the two shots on target resulted in two goals, raising doubts about his ability.

The report further reveals that German coach Hansi Flick has decided to give Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny a chance to play in the upcoming match against Real Mallorca. Szczęsny has expressed his readiness to step in, and Flick hopes he will provide the solution to Barcelona’s goalkeeping dilemma.
