Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich has stated that he plans to decide on his future during the winter break as he considers whether to stay at the club or leave.
Kimmich has been rumored to be a target for Barcelona and had previously not ruled out a move to the Spanish club when the two teams faced off in the Champions League earlier this season.
When asked again about his plans for next season, Kimmich emphasized that he won’t wait until the summer. “I will not wait until summer. I will sit down in winter and then try to see the bigger picture and make the right decision,” he told ZDF Sportstudio.
Bayern has recently expressed their desire to begin negotiations for a contract extension to keep Kimmich at the Allianz Arena. However, it remains unclear whether he will leave, and whether Barcelona is still interested, especially after the rise of Marc Bernal and Marc Casado.
