Respected journalist reveals the TWO Liverpool players expected to stay out of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah

Respected Sky Sports journalist Melissa Reddy has revealed which two players out of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are expected to stay at Anfield.

Respected Sky Sports journalist Melissa Reddy has shared which two players among Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah are expected to remain at Liverpool.

Under manager Arne Slot, Liverpool has had a strong start, losing just once across all competitions since he replaced Jurgen Klopp in the summer. The team currently leads the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.

However, there has been concern among fans regarding the futures of Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, and Salah. Last month, Salah hinted at uncertainty, saying he was “more out than in” due to not receiving an offer. But on Sunday, journalist David Ornstein reported that all three players have now been offered new contracts by the club.

On Monday, Reddy discussed the trio, revealing that the expectation is for both Van Dijk and Salah to stay at Anfield. She stated, “Talks are ongoing and remain positive and respectful. Liverpool is committed to doing right by both the players and the club. It’s clear that both Salah and Van Dijk want to stay, and while they might be frustrated with the delay in reaching an agreement, the expectation is that both will stay.”

Reddy added, “The situation with Alexander-Arnold is a bit different, as Real Madrid has shown strong interest in him. Some of his recent comments about winning the Ballon d’Or align closely with Real Madrid’s ambitions.”

“He’s likely the one who would require the most effort from Liverpool to secure a deal, and also the one with the biggest alternative options.”

“All three players can start negotiations with foreign clubs from January 1. However, based on what I sense from Salah and Van Dijk, they have no intention of pursuing that.”

Liverpool will return to action on Tuesday night, facing Spanish La Liga side Girona in the Champions League.
